Four Pakistani Men Convicted in Bradford 13 Year Child Abuse Case Await Sentencing

A long-running legal process addressing historic child sexual exploitation in West Yorkshire has reached a critical juncture, as four Pakistani men were convicted for their roles in the systematic abuse of a vulnerable 13-year-old girl in Bradford during the early 2000s.

The survivor, known under the protected pseudonym Anna, was between 13 and 15 years old when she was repeatedly targeted and subjected to widespread abuse between 2002 and 2004. Her resolve in coming forward to report the offences to West Yorkshire Police in 2019 triggered a complex, multi-year investigation that unspooled a wider criminal network operating within the city.

Following extensive court proceedings, Sohail Hussain, 40, of Bradford, who self-defines as Asian Pakistani, was convicted of rape and indecent assault. Khurram Iqbal, 39, also of Bradford and self-defining as Asian Pakistani, was found guilty of indecent assault. Mohammed Sufyan Suleman, 45, of Bradford, who self-defines as Asian Pakistani, was convicted of two counts of indecent assault. Mohammed Baig, 47, of Bradford, self-defining as Asian Pakistani, was convicted of three counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault.

These convictions mark the latest phase of a broader judicial crackdown on the ring. Nine other men connected to the same wider case have already been convicted and sentenced to serve a collective total of 104 years in prison.

Journalists at Daily Dazzling Dawn understand that the upcoming sentencing phase will formally conclude one of the region's most extensive operations into historic child exploitation. With the trial phase complete, public and legal attention shifts directly to the crown court, where judges will determine the length of custodial sentences for all four men, establishing full legal accountability for crimes committed more than two decades ago.
