Passengers on a Bangladesh-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight have been plunged into a state of uncertainty and suffering at London Heathrow Airport following a significant technical delay.

The flight, BG 202, which was scheduled to depart for Sylhet (ZYL) and Dhaka, has been grounded for over three hours. According to reports from the ground, passengers were initially boarded onto the aircraft, only to be deplaned a short while later after a "technical glitch" was identified by the engineering team.

Among those stranded are numerous elderly passengers and pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia via Bangladesh to perform Hajj. The sudden offloading has caused immense distress, with many passengers complaining about a lack of clear communication from the airline authorities regarding their accommodation or a rescheduled departure time.

"We have been waiting for hours without any concrete information. They took us on the plane and then brought us back down. We don't know if we will be taken to a hotel or when the flight will leave," said one frustrated passenger.

This incident follows a string of recent technical delays involving Biman's long-haul fleet, raising concerns about the airline's maintenance schedule and operational efficiency. As of the time of reporting, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has not released an official statement regarding the specific nature of the technical fault or the expected time of departure.

For many on board, especially the Hajj pilgrims, the delay is more than just an inconvenience; it threatens their tight travel schedules for the upcoming pilgrimage.

As of the final update at 11:10 PM, the flight has successfully departed.
