As the devastating collision on Good Friday, specialist investigators from the Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit have moved into a new phase of their enquiry. The victim, identified only as a 23-year-old woman from East London, was pronounced dead at the scene near Junction 29 shortly after 19:52 on April 3. While the road was reopened by 05:00 on Saturday morning, the focus has shifted from the tarmac to digital evidence, with police making an urgent plea for any motorists with high-definition dashcam footage to come forward.
Reconstructing the Final Moments-The incident involved a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and three cars.
