Thailand will have a new government next week, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed, signaling a significant step forward in the country’s political transition.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Anutin said a list of proposed cabinet members will be submitted for royal endorsement on Monday, a key constitutional process required to formally establish the new administration.

The prime minister emphasized that once approved, the government will move quickly to begin its work. A policy statement is scheduled to be presented to parliament between April 7 and April 9, outlining the administration’s priorities and legislative agenda.

According to Siripong Angkasakulkiat, deputy leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, the policy framework will largely reflect the party’s election promises. Among the key initiatives is the next phase of a consumer subsidy scheme aimed at easing living costs for the public.

The swift timeline highlights the government’s intention to implement its agenda without delay as the country enters a new phase of governance under the incoming administration.
