More than 250 attendees are expected at the upcoming Moving to Portugal Show, set to take place at London’s Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel on Thursday, 16 October 2025. Interest in relocating from the UK to Portugal has surged by up to 30% between 2024 and 2025, according to the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK, which organizes the event.

“People aren’t just thinking about leaving the UK — they’re making it happen quickly,” said Christina Hippisley, General Manager of the Chamber. “We’re seeing families actively putting plans in motion to enjoy the financial and lifestyle benefits that Portugal provides. The upcoming UK Autumn Budget is pushing even more people to explore relocation opportunities.”

The free-to-attend event will offer expert guidance on every aspect of moving to Portugal, from tax benefits and residency options to property purchases and legal requirements. Attendees will also learn about Portugal’s Golden Visa, the new Non-Habitual Residence Regime (NHR 2.0), mortgages, and banking options.

Regional insights will highlight investment opportunities in the Algarve (including the Golden Triangle and West Algarve), Cascais, Lisbon’s Southbank, and the Douro region, along with an overview of Portugal’s property market.

The show will run in two sessions — morning (until 2:00 pm) and afternoon (until 7:00 pm) — and will feature presentations on investment, currency exchange, and cross-border banking. The day will close with a Golden Visa investment panel and networking drinks.

Visitors will have the chance to speak directly with experts and exhibitors covering every step of the relocation process. Whether attendees are just beginning to explore the idea or already planning their move, the event promises valuable, practical insights.

Past attendee Stephen Baldwin, 57, who moved to Cascais with his family after attending two shows, said:

“The Moving to Portugal Show helped me understand my tax situation, cost of living, and even small details like importing a car — all in one place. It’s an excellent opportunity to get the right advice for free.”

The Moving to Portugal Show remains free of charge, and final tickets for the October 16th event can be reserved online at https://London-MTP-2025.eventbrite.co.uk.
