Algeria and Bangladesh Explore Stronger Economic Ties During High-Level Meeting in Istanbul

Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held a bilateral meeting on Sunday in Istanbul with Mr. Md Touhid Hossain, Foreign Affairs Adviser in the Interim Government of Bangladesh. The meeting took place following their participation in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The two sides discussed avenues for deepening bilateral relations, focusing particularly on economic cooperation. They highlighted the complementary strengths of Algeria and Bangladesh in key sectors such as energy, industry, and pharmaceuticals.

Both parties expressed a shared interest in expanding strategic partnerships and enhancing South-South cooperation, in line with the broader objectives of the OIC.
