The investigation into the death of 35-year-old father Suhail Choudry remains a high priority for the West Yorkshire Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) this Monday, March 9, 2026. A 42-year-old man arrested on Monday, March 2, on suspicion of murder, along with a 32-year-old woman arrested for assisting an offender and drug offenses, were confirmed to be in custody as of the last official police update. West Yorkshire Police have not issued a fresh update on their status this morning. Additionally, a 27-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman previously arrested for assisting an offender remain on bail pending further enquiries.

The force is still appealing for anyone with information or digital footage—including mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam recordings from the Flasby Street and East Avenue areas—to come forward. Detectives believe that even seemingly minor details may be vital in establishing the full timeline of the attack. Footage can be uploaded directly to the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP).

Suhail Choudry’s widow, Zara Choudry, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s third child, has publicly appealed for justice.
