Bilal Nisar Murder: Police Appeal to Three Suspects Still at Large

Detectives leading a major murder investigation have issued a direct plea for three young suspects to hand themselves into police.

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit has intensified its hunt for three teenagers believed to have played a direct role in the violent conflict that claimed the life of 17-year-old Bilal Nisar.

A fifth suspect, aged 17, is scheduled to appear before Stevenage Magistrates’ Court after being charged with murder, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon. This follows earlier court appearances at Luton Magistrates’ Court, where three other teenagers were remanded in custody on identical charges. A total of five young individuals now face formal judicial proceedings, while three others remain released on bail pending further inquiries.

Emergency services were initially called to Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton around 6:30 PM on Friday, July 24, following reports of a large confrontation involving youth armed with bladed weapons. Bilal Nisar suffered multiple severe stab wounds during the incident and subsequently died in hospital.

Direct Appeals and Community Calls

Investigating officers believe several individuals who were present at the scene have yet to be interviewed. Reporting for Daily Dazzling Dawn, journalists noted that senior investigators are focusing heavily on community networks and family ties to encourage those involved to step forward.

Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor, speaking to journalists, stressed the urgency of community cooperation:

 "Our investigation into this horrific incident continues and while we are pleased to have made a number of significant arrests, we know there are a number of teenagers involved who have not yet been spoken to by our officers.

"We’re appealing today to anyone who was there to do the right thing and come forward. A 17-year-old boy has lost his life and a family left devastated.

 "We know there might also be people who know what has happened who are unwilling to come forward as they believe they are protecting their loved ones. We are urging you to talk to your sons, brothers, grandsons, or nephews, and get them to do the right thing or to contact us and tell us what you know."

In a statement released by police, Bilal’s family described him as an "amazing brother, son, uncle, and friend" whose humor and loyalty illuminated the lives of those around him.

Detectives are focusing on tracing the remaining three outstanding suspects while piecing together forensic evidence, public CCTV recordings, and dashcam footage collected around the Kingsway Recreation Ground area.
