Bedford train crash victim died from severe brainstem and chest injuries

The train driver who died in last month's rail crash in Bedford suffered fatal traumatic injuries to his brainstem and chest, according to the HM Coroner's Office.

A coroner's report confirmed that 60-year-old Shaun Burton died from "traumatic injuries to the brainstem and chest, pending further investigation" following the train crash on 19 June. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
