The latest edition of the Sunday Times Rich List has revealed major gains for some of the UK’s biggest celebrities and business figures, including David Beckham and the Gallagher brothers.

Former England football captain Beckham has become the UK’s first billionaire sportsman after he and wife Victoria Beckham reportedly doubled their fortune over the past year.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher entered the Rich List for the first time with an estimated combined wealth of £375 million, boosted by the huge success of Oasis reunion concerts.

Topping the 2026 list are Sanjay Hinduja and Dheeraj Hinduja along with their family, whose fortune is estimated at £38 billion. Their business empire, the Hinduja Group, operates globally across several industries.

The year’s biggest financial rise belonged to Nik Storonsky, whose wealth surged to £16.41 billion following a major valuation increase for fintech company Revolut.

Another major climber was Alex Gerko, whose fortune nearly doubled after strong growth in trading platform XTX Markets.

However, several wealthy figures saw their fortunes decline. Jim Ratcliffe lost nearly £2 billion as his chemicals company Ineos faced a difficult year.

Inventor James Dyson also experienced a major drop in wealth, with his estimated fortune falling by £8 billion.

Other notable names on the list include boxing promoter Eddie Hearn and snooker promoter Barry Hearn, who reportedly crossed the billionaire mark, while King Charles III is estimated to be worth £680 million.

The report noted there are now 157 billionaires in the UK, down from previous years, with many wealthy individuals reportedly relocating to places such as Dubai, Switzerland and Monaco following changes to UK tax rules.
