A photograph has surfaced showing a man taking a selfie on a railway track moments before he was fatally struck by a high-speed train.

The image was captured by 32-year-old Mohi Uddin in Chengahata village, Bangladesh, on Sunday, February 15. In the photo, the rickshaw driver is seen looking into the camera with railway tracks visible behind him. Shortly after the picture was taken, he was hit by an approaching train and died at the scene.

According to local media, Mohi had travelled to the Bagmara area earlier that day for work. After dropping off passengers, he reportedly went to the railway line. The train involved in the incident was heading toward the capital, Dhaka.

Reports suggest that Mohi stepped onto the tracks to take the selfie and may have shared it on his Facebook account. Police later confirmed that he was sitting on the railway line and talking on his mobile phone when the collision occurred.

Jasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of the Lakshman Government Railway Police, stated that Mohiuddin was killed after being struck by a moving train while seated on the tracks and using his phone. His body was later taken back to his home village.
